Sitting Pretty

So while I'm waiting (rather impatiently) to begin building our new home, I'm already starting the search for the perfect furniture to feather our nest. Here are a few chairs I found I while I've been out and about. I hope you enjoy window shopping as much as I do!
Above is a cute thing from Ethan Allen. I can't say that I'd ever have the decor to match, but it was just so fun!
This next one is my favorite from Ethan Allen. It's lines are perfect for me and love the monochromatic look of the black and white pillow paired with it. I do hesitate to buy white though. Just yesterday I found my two-year-old rubbing the contents of a pudding cup into my parents living room chairs, which were luckily dark leather.

This one below is from Pier One Imports. Our new home will have His and Hers closets in the Master Bath. I'd love to have this chair in mine. It's cute and feminine and shows just the right amount of leg.
This next batch is from Ethan Allen. There were so many different looks and styles to choose from. I'm going to find it difficult to choose.
This one to the left is a little masculine for my usual tastes, but there's just something about it. It's so clean and non-fussy.

Maybe for an informal library or to dress up the lowcountry porch.

To the right is something that has a cottage flair in the fabric, but with very clean lines. It would suite both the modern and the cozy. It's a little masculine as well. It reminds me of a man's casual button-up shirt.

Here are couple with more feminine lines. The floral fabric is a great way to introduce red to the space. I usually shy away from that color when it's on anything more than vases or throw pillows, but I love this look. I don't think I could slide it past the husband though. Maybe if it just filled a corner. Next to it is a graceful side chair. It's elegant without being dainty and great for pulling up at parties. Both are pretty and still comfortable.

I'll end with something we all agreed on... The leather La-Z-Boy recliner. It is tailored enough that I find it neat and unmessy, stylish even. My husband just loves how comfortable it is - and so did the boys. I guess I'd have to buy multiples to keep away from having fights.
